How to enjoy a scone
Toast lightly. Serve warm with fruit preserves, lemon curd, honey, chocolate-hazelnut spread . . . the possibilities are endless.
Store Cream Scones in original packaging or other opaque container in a cool dark place for up to a week or freeze.
For best results, freeze uneaten scones the day of purchase. Place scones in a plastic freezer bag and place in the freezer.
Consume within four weeks of freezing.
Reheating Frozen Scones
Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 400 °F. Arrange frozen scones on a sheet pan and bake for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from oven and let rest for 2 to 3 minutes before enjoying.
Toaster Oven: Place frozen scones directly on oven rack. Toast for 2 to 4 minutes. Let scones rest for 2 to minutes before enjoying.
